Meet Milo: Our Newest Staff Member! 🐾We are paws-itively thrilled to introduce Milo, our official new Dog Mentor, to the school community! Milo has joined us through The Dog Mentor Programme, a specialist initiative designed to improve student wellbeing, boost confidence and support social and emotional development.

• About Milo

Milo is a gentle and enthusiastic companion who has already begun making a fantastic impression on pupils and staff alike. He is here to help with:

• Social & Emotional Support: Providing a calming presence for students who may be feeling overwhelmed or anxious.
• Reading & Learning: Some students will have the chance to read to Milo—dogs are excellent listeners and never judge a mistake!
• Curriculum Help: Milo will be involved in various classroom activities to help improve overall educational outcomes.

🐕 How the Programme Works:

The Dog Mentor Programme has been running in UK schools since 2012 and focuses heavily on the safety and wellbeing of both the students and the dog. Milo will always be accompanied by one of his dedicated handlers and will only interact with students in a controlled, supervised environment.

📝 Important Information for Parents:

We want to ensure everyone feels comfortable with Milo’s arrival. If your child has any dog- related allergies or phobias, please let the school office know as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.
